If there has been any constancy in my life at all it is art. I have never tried to be an artist in fact I have tried not to be one. A daydreaming child in a practical world I pushed myself to be more rational and more realistic. But whatever I chose as my day job my lifeline was art. It was in looking at paintings and sculpture and in the images I came home each night and created with a camera that I felt understood, and moved and powerful. I have always seen things differently. I have only just realized it is a blessing. As a rational adult I realize it would be irrational of me to do anything else. I am most drawn to abstraction. It is magic that well placed line and color at a certain time and place can be as evocative and emotional as that which is realistically rendered, if not more.
